Use 为了＋verb phrase to talk about someone doing something for a specific goal or benefit; the goal clause usually appears before the main action.
"曹操为了夺取汉中，派人运来不少粮食，储备在北山脚下。"
幸亏 sets up a fortunate circumstance, and 才 stresses that the positive outcome happened only because of that circumstance.
"幸亏赵云前去接应，才救出了黄忠。"
Use 刚＋action＋就＋result to describe an action that happens right after another; it emphasizes the quick succession.
"赵云刚回到军营，曹操的兵马就杀过来了。"
连＋noun＋都/也＋negative/positive verb highlights that something unexpected or extreme is true, often with a surprising lack or abundance.
"曹操的兵马来到营前，只见营门大开，军营里空空荡荡，安安静静，连一面旗帜、一个人影都看不到。"
于是 links a cause or thought with a following action or result, similar to “so” or “then” in English.
"曹军怀疑这里埋伏了重兵，于是掉转方向撤退了。"
