Use “因为” at the start of a clause to explain the reason for what follows; the result clause follows with a comma, often without a conjunction.
Pair “越是…,越…” to describe how an increase in one condition leads to an increase in another; the first clause gives the condition, the second describes the response.
Place “但是” between clauses to contrast two ideas within the same sentence; often used when the second clause contradicts or limits the first.
Use “就在于” to pinpoint the essential point or purpose of the preceding action or noun; it’s often used to explain why something matters.
Use “否则” to introduce the negative consequence when the condition in the previous clause is not met; it often follows a comma after the first clause.
